Longs Peak

This is my favorite climb to date. Not due to the climb or the route but due to who I was with. I attempted Longs with my Dad and brother. They flew in from Cincinnati to Denver and I picked them up at the airport. From the airport we went to REI and the grocery store then straight to the Longs peak trail head at 9,400ft of elevation. From there we climbed with our packs to the boulder field for a night at 12,800. It was a little to much to ask for Dad and Andrew. With no time to acclimatize they both got altitude sickness. It hit Andrew first he started to act drunk as we were approaching the Boulder field. It hit Dad the next morning. So we decided not to attempt the summit. It was a great trip though an a lot of fun to spend time with Dad and Andrew climbing.
